Test of medium size; three whorls,with 3 1/2 chambers each. Test contours in dorsal view triangular. Chambers inflated, tightly coiled, semicircular in dorsal view, circular in lateral view. Spire hardly rising over the plane of the last whorl. Sutures depressed, radial to oblique on both the dorsal and the ventral surface. Umbilicus small. Apertural face flattened, differing from the rest of the last chamber. A­perture low, elongated, with a well-developed lip. Bee-cell li­ke pattern clearly visible on the test surface. Note. Closely resembles Globigerina corpulenta. Differs from G. pseudovenezuelana in revealing four chambers on the ventral side and its lip being less well developed. Occurrence. Common in the Buda Marl, more exactly in the Cylindroclavulina cylindrica Zone and in the Eocene/Oligo­cene transition. Budapest region, Bükk Mountains foreland. Chambers inflated; their side facing the last chamber flatly bowed, the opposite one abruptly sinking towards the suture. Sutures usu­ally right, radial.
