II. KÖZLEMÉNYEK - Berczellyné Szilágyi Réka: Emlékművekhez készült szobormodellek, szobormásolatok a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum Történeti Tárában

árusított emlékszobrocskák, amik sokszor a magyar közélet jeles képviselőiről készültek.59 Az emberek előszeretettel gyűjtötték ezeket az öntött fémből és fényes vagy biszk- vit porcelánból készült alkotásokat. Ezt egyrészről a fémöntés technikájának tökéletesedése, másrészről pedig a Magyarországon is megjelenő porcelán széles körű elterjedése tette lehetővé.60 Gyakori jelenség volt, hogy ismert művészek egyedi alkotásait másolták le és sokszorosították a nagyközönség számára. Nem volt ez másként az emlékművek esetében sem, számos kisméretű másolat készült ezekről a köztéri alkotásokról is és vált a polgárlakások díszévé.

MODELS, REDUCED REPRODUCTIONS OF MONUMENTS IN THE HISTORICAL REPOSITORY OF THE HUNGARIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM

Summary

The study deal with nine sculptures of the Historical Repository's Ceramics and Miscellaneous Collections in the Hungarian National Museum. The sculptures, made of bronze, white marble, bisqiut porcelain or clay, have in common with one another: all of them are connected to a completed monument in public places as their models or reduced reproductions. In spite of the fact, that the similarity is very evident, if someone put the pictures of the sculptures and the monuments side by side, these parallels are not mentioned in the inventories or any other documents of the musem. (Except in one case: the inventory said, that the original sculpture of Elisabeth made by Edmund Hellmer is found in Salzburg.)

The object of my research and in the same time the goal of this study was to make comparisons and find these missing informations. During my work I got mighty help from the website, Szoborlap, where thousands of pictures can be found about public place monuments in Hungary or in other countries with hungarian relations.

In the first part of my study I summarize the history of erecting monuments in Hungary during the whole 19th and the begining of the 20th century. After that I describe the sculptures and monuments, summarise the informations and facts about tham. (Both the sculptures and the monuments are illustrated.)
