II. KÖZLEMÉNYEK - Fülöp András: A Gyulai Gaál család hosztóti temploma az újabb kutatások fényében
of the Esterházy estate in Ozora. He bought Hosztót, a village in Veszprém County, in 1742, and it was him who restored its roman catholic church. In the church a crypt was built which was used for family burials after 1777. According to the building archeological investigations and the written sources it came to light, that the chancel and its ribbed vaulting was built in the 14—15 t h century, just like the eastern part of the present-day nave and the sacristry. From 1739 to 1741 the western part of the gothic nave was pulled down by the former possessor, and it is possible, that the smaller nave and the sacristry was vaulted by Gábor Gyulai Gaál around 1742. In 1836 the nave was enlarged, a new tower was affixed to it, and the crypt was altered. Around 1900 an additional support was given to the walls by the parish priest. In 2010 the roof and the facades were restored (the architect was Tamás Albert). 150
