II. Közlemények - Sallay Gergely Pál: Horthy Miklós Krizantém Rendje a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum Éremtárában

to the badge, the mintmark 'M' can be found, which was used by the Osaka Mint only in the 1930s. This means that the insignia must have been manufactured (and awarded) in that decade. The badge is out of shape and its enamel surfaces are discoloured and cracked, which can be the result of a strong physical impact and fire, both of which phenomena occurred during the siege of the Hungarian capital in 1944. The Hungarian National Museum acquired the badge in 1959. The author tries his best to follow the way of the object from 1944 to 1959, and therefore introduces the disposer, and some of her documents that are important from the point of view of the matter. In the supplement, the reader will find the official French translation and a Hungarian version of the original award certificate of the Japanese Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum to Miklós Horthy, Regent of the Kingdom of Hungary, dated 21 May 1938.
