were also exposed to high infestation. So, in August in Kichi-Uryukty of Kungey Ala-Tau, 100% of the wood mice were infected (average of the number of larvae per host was 15.5), while in September in Kyrchyn, 85-7% of the hosts were affected by an average of 165.1 larvae. The first larvae were found in April, and the last in December. Probably, the parasitising of this species can take place all the year round. The number of N. sympatrica in various habitats is different. The greatest number of mites was observed in mountain habitats, while single individuals of this species were found in the Chui valley and in the basin of Lake Issyk Kul. The size of the idiosoma of A7. sympatrica could increase 2.34-fold after feeding. Therefore, dimensions of the idiosoma of hungry larvae were 213 x 183 urn, while the well-fed larvae had dimensions of 499 x 400 ^m. Feeding of N. sympatrica was observed in April, June and from August until November. The parasitisation of various regions of the host's body had non-uniform monthly distribution (Table 1 ). The greatest number of mites was found inside the cochlea in August (68.96%) and in September (67.26%). A7. sympatrica preferred to feed on the edge of the ear in October (62.00%). Only this month were the single individuals found sticking on the outside surface of an ear. Around the genitals, the anus and under the tail the mites were found in September. The greatest number of larvae was found on the genitals (19.30%) and on the anus (12.28%) in November. In September the quantity of larvae sticking under the tail was 2.66%. There were only a few feeding larvae on the belly, the breast and the chin. In combings, the number of mites was the greatest in November (67.98%), and the lowest in September (19.84%). Hence, the peak of feeding individuals of A7. sympatrica was in September: 80.16% of all collected larvae in these months. Fig. 1.
