O. Merkl szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 68. (Budapest, 2007)
All the specimens below are preserved in the Diptera collection of the Department of Zoology, Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest (below: HNHM). The list of the abbreviations and translations of the Hungarian words on labels were published in the former papers for the project "Large blank spots in the Diptera fauna of Hungary" (e.g. PAPP & FÖLDVÁRI 2000, SEVCÍK & PAPP 2001). Cecidomyiidae: "Lestremiinae" As it has been convincingly pointed out (JASCHHOF 1998), this is not a monophyletic group. In the Checklist SKUHRAVÁ (2001 ) listed only three old (i.e. not corroborated) records of Porricondylinae - other than those of Cecidomyiinae. In the same year RULIK et al. (2001 ) published 45 species of Sciaridae new to Hungary but twelve species of Lestremiinae (all they are new for our fauna) were included in the same paper. Unfortunately, these latter species were not published in the Checklist. Below we publish only two species of Lestremia MACQUART, 1826 new to Hungary, but unnamed and pinned specimens of "Lestremiinae" are selected into genera in the HNHM and awaiting identification in the forthcoming years. Acoenonia sp. - 1 female: Egervölgyi TT: Pécs, Égervölgy, patak fölött és mellett, 2006. 06. 16., leg. PAPP L. This is the first record f the genus from Hungary (no chance to identify a female of the genus). Lestremia leucophaea (MEIGEN, 1818) - 1 male: DINP: Szokolya, Vasfazék-p., 2006. május 18., patak fölött és mellett, PAPP L. & FÖLDVÁRI M. 1 male: Kelet Mecsek TK, Óbánya, Óbányai-p. fölött és mellett, 2000. június 14., leg. PAPP L. Lestremia parvosty lia JASCHHOF, 1994 - 1 male (gen. prep.): Budapest, Pestszentlőrinc, Péterhalmi-erdö, tölgyes, 2001. 10. 9-10., leg. PAPP L. (identified by Dr JASCHHOF). In Europe formerly known from Estonia and Latvia (JASCHHOF 1998; described from Morocco). Xylopriona sp. (? atra) - 27 males: Kardoskút, országút mellett, fa körül [beside road, around canopy of a tree], 2005. 08. 29., leg. PAPP L. The specimens were captured from clouds of millions of specimens swarming around canopies of trees along the road. Since there is no forest nearby, we have to presume that all they developed from cultivated plants. Cecidomyiidae: Porricondylinae Three questionable records were published in the Checklist (SKUHRAVÁ 2001, see above). There was no voucher specimen of this subfamily in the Diptera Collection of the HNHM before. Two genera and species new for the Hungarian fauna are published below. Dirhiza lateritia LOEW, 1850 - 1 male (gen. prep.): Budapest, Pestszentlőrinc, Péterhalmierdő, 2001. május 13., leg. PAPP L.; 1 male: Verőce, Magyarkút, Keskenybükki-patak völgye,
