New moth species in the Hungarian fauna (Lep.: Gelechiidae, Tortricidae, Pyralidae) 87 ing, while in the case of trimaculana the spikes are typically parallel. It is quite likely that the delayed recognition of N. rosaecolana in Hungary is due to the lack of examinations of the genitalia. Consequently, a revision of the materials belonging to the related species (mainly N. trimaculana) deposited in Hungarian collections is necessary by using the genital preparation technique. Its proposed Hungarian name is rózsalakó tükrösmoly. PYRALIDAE Chilo suppressalis (WALKER, 1863) (Fig. 2) - Csákvár, Csikvarsai-rét [= meadow], 11 .V.2003, one female, leg. et coll. K. SZEŐKE, gen. prep, by M. GY. LÁSZLÓ (No. 2472). - Chilo phragmitella (HÜBNER, 1810) is an important element of the Hungarian Pyralidae fauna. Species with similar lifestyle and habitat requirements, such as Ch. luteellus (MOTSCHULSKY, 1866), Ch. suppressalis (WALKER, 1863) and Ch. christophi (BLESZYNSKl, 1965) are found in other European countries as well. In the list of European species published by KARSHOLT & RAZOWSKI (1996) Ch. phragmitella and Ch. luteellus are indicated to occur in Hungary. Since FAZEKAS (2002) also mentions Ch. luteellus in his list, it seemed obvious for me that the Chilo specimens collected in Csikvarsai-rét near the Vértes Hills and different from Ch. phragmitella belonged to this species. On the other hand examination of the female genitelia revealed that this is Ch. suppressalis, an eastern Palaearctic species, but known from the west Mediterranean region as well. According to the descriptions and figures in the work of BLESZYNSKl (1965) on the Palaearctic fauna, some species, such as Ch. suppressalis and Ch. christophi have a distinctive, elongated spearhead-shaped signum on the surface of the bursa copulatrix. This is absent in the bursa of Ch. phragmitella and Ch. luteellus. Its proposed Hungarian name is egyszínű nádfúrómoly. Fig. 2. Chilo suppressalis (WALKER, 1863), wingspan: 38.5 mm
