O. Merkl szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 67. (Budapest, 2006)

DISCUSSION This is the first attempt to collect and catalogue all available papers on phytoseiid mites of Hungary. Several relevant papers are included in this work, which were omitted in the catalogues of MORAES etal. (1986, 2004), e.g. KOMLOVSZKY (1979, 1984), MOLNÁR (1986, 1993), DELLEI & SZENDREY (1988, 1989), RIPKA (1998, 2000) and RlPKA et al. (2002). The 58 available papers provide a more detailed picture on the phytoseiid fauna of Hungary. The number of known species from Hungary, Italy, Serbia and Montenegro, and Slovakia is 72, 81, 37 and 35, respectively (STOJNIC et al. 2002, BERNINI et al. 1995, JEDLICKOVÁ 1993, JEDLICKOVÁ & KOLODOCHKA 1994).
