O. Merkl szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 66. (Budapest, 2005)
EMPIDIDAE Hemerodromia melangyna COLLIN, 1927 - 3 females: Bükki N.P.: Miskolc, Sebes-víz patak fölött és mellett, 2004. 07. 20. New to Hungary. Clinocera (Hydromia) fontinalis (HALIDAY, 1833) - 1 male: B.N.P.: Mályinka, Moldva-v., forrás kifolyója, 2004. 07. 20. This is the second known specimen from Hungary (cf. PAPP 2004). Clinocera (Kowarzia) tenella (WAHLBERG, 1844) - 1 male: Bükki N.P.: Varbó, Dobrica-kút, patak fölött, 2004. 07. 20. This species was formerly known from the Mecsek Mts only. It is worth mentioning, that the present record is the first one from the bigger east half of our country. The other two species hitherto recorded (C. (K.) barbatula MlK, 1880, C. (K.) bipunctata (HALIDAY, 1833)) are known from the Kőszeg Mts. (westernmost part of Hungary) (PAPP & FÖLDVÁRI 2000, 2002). PSILIDAE Loxocerafulviventris MEIGEN, 1826 - The male specimen, which SOÓS (1980) reported as the first record from Hungary (Sátor-hg. [Zempléni Mts.], Istvánkút, 1957. VIII. 8-14., leg. SÓLYMOSNÉ - Loxocera fulviventris Meig. S det. SOÓS) is a male of L. aristata (PANZER, 1801). While sorting the unnamed material of Psilidae of the HNHM, I found two males and one female of the true L. fulvinervis from the present area of Hungary, as follows: 1 male, 1 female: Darány, Kúti őrház, 1981. IX. 21./1978. IX. 24., leg. VÁLY Á.; 1 male: Mátra hg., Galyatető, 1981. VIII. 16., leg. MIHÁLYI. Loxocera nigrifrons MACQUART, 1835 - 2 females: KNP: Kunpeszér, Peszéri-erdő, aljnövényzet, 2002.05. 15., leg. SZAPPANOS A. The only formerly known specimen from Hungary (a female) was collected in the 19th century: "Pest", '125. 346." - Loxocera nigrifrons Macq. det. SoÓS. That is the specimen, on which THALHAMMER (1900) reported this species from Hungary for the first time. This is otherwise one of those 700 dipterous specimens, which embodied the whole Diptera collection of the HNHM, when KÁLMÁN KERTÉSZ got his job here. Chamaepsila triorbiseta L. PAPP, 2004 - 1 female: Verőce, Magyarkút: Keskenybükki-p. mellett, 2004.08.20-21. This is the second known specimen, which was captured ca. 15 km from its type locality. LAUXANIIDAE The family Lauxaniidae was one of the neglected Diptera groups in Europe up to the 1970s. In the last two (or three) decades a number of good revisions of the genera and species-groups were published (for their bibliographic data see SHATALKIN 2000). The most recent one, MERZ's (2004) revision of the Minettia fasciata species group cleared up a group of common species. His extensive material of study (1150 specimens) did not include that of the HNHM. So I identified most of the specimens, which belong to the three species of this group in Hungary. MERZ (2004) mentioned all the three species from "Kalocsa"; those specimens must have been from THALHAMMER' s collection, which are preserved in one of the collections he studied. Of them, M. subvittata (LOEW, 1847) may be regarded as new to our fauna, since formerly it was not mentioned from Hungary, owing to my false synonymization. Minettia tabidiventris (RONDANI, 1877) (M. fasciata: PAPP 1979, misidentification).
