S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 65. (Budapest, 2004)

Male genitalia as Figs 158C-G: Hypandrium in lateral view slightly higher than broad. Apodeme along the anterior margin sinuated and ventrally complete. Processus terminális distinct, in lateral view strongly curved upwards. Median apical incision wide, anteriorly rounded, with strong apodeme. Processus lateralis prominent. Gonarcus strong, and moderately long. Stylus forked, its outer branch wide; inner branches rather thin, and forming a band below the parameres. Paramere in lateral view sinuated, its distal part S-shaped. Processus apicalis large, having a dorsal and also a ventral projection. Penis consists of two moderately long, thin sclerites. Between the parameres and penis there is a pair of rather slender sclerites showing S-shape both in lateral and ventral view. Remarks - The new species, together with C. alticola Sziráki, 2002, C. dactylifrons Yang & Liu, 1999, C. lobifrons Murphy & Lee, 1971 and C. protrufrons Yang & Liu, 1999 obviously belong to the same species group within the subgenus Coniopteryx s. str. Coniopteryx oroszi sp. n. differs from all of the above-mentioned species because of the sinuated shape of paramere, and the special sclerite between the parameres and penis. Besides, the new species differs from C. alticola and C. lobifrons (which species are described and figured more completely) because of the single strong inner spine of the pedicel, too. Etymology - I dedicate the new species to one of the collectors, András Orosz. Coniopteryx (Coniopteryx) protrufrons Yang & Liu, 1999 (Figs 159A, B) Yang & Liu 1999: 91 (description).
