*81 Several data of earlier authors from Hungary under the name Ch. loratus (Fischer de Waldheim, 1846) should relate to Ch. dichrous, Ch. loratus seems not to occur in the Carpathian Basin, therefore its placement in the Hungarian checklist is hardly justified (see Rácz 1998). *85 See above (*77) *91 Possible existence of subspecies is disputable. According to Kaltenbach (1970), the subspecies Euchortippus declivus stichai Maran, 1957 occurs in the entire Carpathian Basin, however Harz (1975) considers it as a synonym only. * 103 There are relatively vigorous, but disjunct populations of the Stenobothrus eurasius even in the entire range of the Hungarian Middle Mountain (Nagy 1974), but the existence of a possible subspecies was not investigated yet. Specimens from Niederösterreich (NE Austria) belong - according to Kaltenbach (1970) - to the subspecies St. e. bohemicus Maran, 1958. Another subspecies (St. e. slovacus Maran, 1958) was detected in the Slovakian Karst region (Maran 1958). * 113 The existence of the subspecies Epacromius coerulipes pannonicus Karny, 1908 is not generally accepted. *1
