MATERIAL AND METHODS Trichoceridae of a large collection (over 1000 specimens) of the Hungarian Natural History Museum in Budapest (HNHM) were examined. Aditionally, a sample of ca. 60 specimens was collected by Wieslaw Krzeminski (WK) near Sárvár, Hungary; these specimens are deposited in the Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals, Polish Academy of Sciences, Krakow, Poland (ISEZ). SYSTEMATIC PART Genus TRICHOCERA Meigen, 1803 Subgenus Saltrichocera Krzeminska, 2002 Trichocera (Saltrichocera) annulata Meigen, 1818 - Sitke n. Sárvár, park n. castle, 10.XI. 1999, 1 male (WK). Trichocera (Saltrichocera) brevis Krzeminska, 2002 - Pestszentlőrinc, Péterhalmi-erdő [Péterhalmi forest], tölgyes aljnövényzet, 12-13.X.1966, 1 female, (leg. L. Papp); Főt, Somlyó-h.: 28.X. 1960, 2 males, 1 female, (leg. Mihályi); Fót, rét, 28.X.1960, 7 females, (Mihályi); Szigetköz: Ásványráró, fénycsapda 30-8.X.1989, 1 female, (leg. L. Papp). - New to Hungary. This recently described species is known also from Poland and Sweden (Krzeminska 2002/;). Trichocera (Saltrichocera) implicate Dahl, 1976 - Osli: Osli-erdő, 5.XI.1996, 2 males (leg. L. Papp); Sitke n. Sárvár, park n. castle, 10.XI. 1999, 1 male. (leg. WK). - New to Hungary. Trichocera (Saltrichocera) michali Krzeminska, 1999 - Sitke n. Sárvár, park n. castle, 10.XI. 1999, 1 male, (leg. WK). - New to Hungary. This recently described species was till now reported only from Poland and Slovakia (Stary 2001 ). By the shape of aedeagal complex it belongs the regelationis group of species, together with 77. (S.) regelationis, T. (S.) maculipennis Meigen, T. (S.) annulata Meigen and 77. (S.) rufescens Edwards (Krzeminska 1999). Similarly to the last two species mentioned, it has no spots on wings; superficially it can be discerned from them by the blackish body. It is noteworthy that the specimen from Sitke has a discal cell of the shape shown in the description (Krzeminska 1999: Fig. 19). T. (S.) michali was originally described in the subgenus Metatrichocera Dahl. Trichocera (Saltrichocera) montium Stary, 2001, syn. Trichocera (Metatrichocera) montana Stary, 1999 - Budapest: Farkasvölgy, 6.XI.1957, 1 female, (leg. L. Papp); Nagykovácsi: Remete-hegy, 26.X.1957, 1 male, 1 female, (leg. Mihályi); Sitke n. Sárvár, 10.XI.1999, 1 female, (park n. castle, leg. WK). - New to Hungary. The female from Farkasvölgy differs from original description (Stary 1999) in having the thorax vivid reddish brown and not black. The female from Sitke has first and second antennái segments fused and both markedly enlarged to width of pedicel, i. e., far less than is observed in T. (S.) antennata Stary, 1999. Trichocera (Saltrichocera) pappi sp. n. (Figs 1-11) Type material - Holotype: female, Hungary: Pestszentlőrinc, Péterhalmi-erdő [Péterhalmi forest], 7-8. X. 1996, (leg. L. Papp); HNHM.
