alpina and 7 specimens (2 females and 5 males) with C. annulicornis, whereas the remaining 10 specimens (all males) cannot be determined with certainty. These specimens have the yellow spots on the mesoscutal median lobe and mesepisternum but the spots are obscure, nearly missing, or only partly present. Bokotey (1956, 1964) recorded C. alpina from Ukraine, while C. annulicornis is newly recorded here from Ukraine. Definite distribution records of C. annulicornis are from the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Poland (Battisti etal. 1998). Cephalcia arvensis Panzer, 1805 - Material examined: Ukraine: 15 males "Kárpátalja, Máramarosi k. k., Tiszabogdány, Brebenyeszkul" "Term. véd. terület, Hoveria felé, 800-1600 m, 1997. VI. 13, leg. Zombori L."; 3 males "Kárpátalja, Máramarosi k. k., Tiszabogdány, Brebenyeszkul" "Term. véd. terület, Mencsil, 1500 m, 1997. VI. 14, leg. Zombori L."; 1 male "Kárpátalja, Máramarosi k. k., Rahó, Alsóláz, 700-1200 m, 1996.VII. 10, leg. Zombori L."; 1 female, 2 males "Kárpátalja, Rahó körzet, Lazescsina, 920 m" "Zubrienka tvt., 1975.VI.30, leg. Ermolenko"; 1 female "Kárpátalja, Rahó körzet, Luhi, 1500 m" "8.VIII. 1989, leg. Ermolenko"; 1 female "Kárpátalja, Máramarosi k. k., Hoverla-h." "Turistaház, rom, 1200-1700 m, 1998.VII.23, leg. Zombori L."; 2 males "Jaremcsanszki körzet, Vorochta" "10.VII. 1979, leg. Ermolenko"; 2 males "Hoveria É. oldal, Vorochta" "29.VI.1973, leg. Ermolenko"; 1 male "Técsői körzet, Németmokra" "1963.VII. 14, leg. Ermolenko"; 1 male "Técsői körzet, Királymező" "Latundur-hegy, 1963.VII.7, leg. Ermolenko." Remarks - Bokotey (1964; as Cephalcia arvensis), Ermolenko (1966), and Zombori & Ermolenko (1999) already recorded this species from Ukraine. Cephalcia erythrogaster (Hartig, 1837) - Material examined: Ukraine: 1 male "Jaremcsanszki körzet, Vorochta" "1 I.V.1963, leg. Ermolenko." Remarks - Zombori & Ermolenko (1999) already recorded this species from the Ukrainian Carpathians. Cephalcia fulva Battisti et Zanocco, 1994 - Material examined: Ukraine: 1 male "Kárpátalja, Máramarosi k. k., Tiszabogdány, Brebenyeszkul" "Term. véd. terület, Mencsil, 800-1000 m, 1997. VI.13, leg. Zombori L."; 1 female "Pozsizsevszkaja k., Csorna Hora" "1300-1500 m, 8.VII.1963, leg. Ermolenko." POLAND: 1 female "3, N. Ustrori, L. Hotcyna, 28.VI.85." Remarks - This recently described species has been found in the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, and northeastern China (Battisti & Zanocco 1994; Taeger et al. 1998). The specimens given above represent the first record from Ukraine and Poland. Pamphilius armeniacus Shinohara, 1988 - Material examined: Russia: 1 female "Russia, Csecsen-Ingus [= Checheno-Ingushskaya Respublika], Zoni" "7.VI.1972, leg. Ermolenko". Remarks - Pamphilius armeniacus was known only from the type series (two females) from Armenia (Shinohara 1988). This is the first distribution record from Russia. The Russian specimen agrees well with the type series, though the pale yellow marks on the head are narrower, and the postocellar area is entirely black. Pamphilius hortorum (Klug, 1808) - Material examined: Russia: 1 female "Russia, Baskiria [= Bashkirskaya Respublika], Burzyanskaya obi., Baskir Reserve" "1.VII. 1985, leg. Ermolenko". Remarks - This is a widely distributed Palaearctic species. Gussakovskij (1935) recorded it from "Orenburgsk". Pamphilius sylvaticus (Linnaeus, 1758) - Material examined: Ukraine: 1 female "Ukrajna, Csernovic k. k., Vizsnyickij körzet" "Ruszke, 900 m, 24.VI. 1975, leg. Ermolenko". Remarks - Bokotey ( 1956, 1964) and Ermolenko ( 1963, 1966) recorded this species from Ukraine. * Acknowledgement - This work is supported in part by a Grant-in-aid for Scientific Research No. 15570093 from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan, to Shinohara.
