[Haematopota ocelligera (Kröber, 1922)] - Not yet recorded from Hungary. South European species known from Rumania too. Haematopota pluvialis (Linnaeus, 1768) - Majer 1984: 57. - Commonest species both in Hungary and Europe (Fig. 9). Haematopota scutellata (Olsufjev, Moucha et Chvála, 1964)-Majer 1984: 57. - This species was described in 1964. This is the reason why we have only a few occurrence data of the species in Hungary. Central and South European species (Fig. 10). Haematopota subcylindrica Pandellé, 1883 - Majer 1984: 57. - It is known from most parts of Hungary, but not common. Central and East European species (Fig. 11). Heptatoma Meigen, 1803 Heptatoma pellucens (Fabricius, 1776) - Majer 1984: 56. - It occurs in most parts of Hun­gary, but not frequent (Fig. 12). European species. DIACHLORINI Philipomia Olsufjev, 1964 Philipomia aprica (Meigen, 1820)-Majer 1984: 56; Tóth 1999: 135.-It has a rather sporadic distribution mostly in mountainous areas of Hungary (Fig. 13). South and Central European species. Philipomiagraeca Fabricius, 1794-Tóth 1966: 109 (as Tabanusfulvicornis (Meigen, 1820)); Majer 1985: 50. - It is not common species. Rather sporadic, mostly in mountainous areas of Hun­gary (Fig. 14). Mediterranean, South and Central European species. The northern border of its distri­butional area is in Central Europe, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic. Therioplectes Zeller, 1842 Therioplectes gigas (Herbst, 1787) - Majer 1983: 54; Tóth 1999: 122. - This species is at­tached to the mountainous areas mainly. Rather rare in the lowland areas of Hungary too (Fig. 15). East Mediterranean species.
