Java, 1800ft., Priangan, 01.07.1935. 1 female. Monophadnus mimeticus Enderlein, 1919 - Nederlands Indie: Java, 1600 ft, Z. W. Priangan, December, 1941, 1 female. (Sawshaeth and claw see in Fig. 7 and 14.) Amonophadnus nigrojavanus sp. n. (Figs 8, 10, 15) Body shining black with slight bluish metallic reflection. Basal part of the ovipositor brownish yellow. Cenchri greyish white. Wings with clear but moder­ately strong brownish infuscation. Head, thorax and abdomen ventrally with grey­ish white moderately dense pubescence about 2/3 times as long as the diameter of front ocellus. Abdominal tergites nearly bold. Mouthparts with strong and dense pubescence about 1.5 times as long as the diameter of front ocellus. Head moder­ately deeply and moderately densely punctured, shining. Pronotum and propleuron densely, uniformly and minutely punctured, shining. Mesonotal middle lobes nearly smooth and shining with very sporadic, shallow and minute punctures. Lat­eral mesonotal lobes sporadically and clearly punctured, shining. Mesoscutellum, mesoscutellar appendage and postscutellum smooth and shining. Mesopleuron shining, moderately densely, moderately deeply and uniformly punctured. Ratios of antennái segments 1 to 9 = 8:6:23:15:15:13:12:10:12. OOL:POL:OCL= 14:6:11. Ratios of hind tarsal segments without claws = 28:7:4:3:9. Length of inner hind tibial spur : length of hind basitarsus = 8:28. Length of cenchrus : distance between cenchri = 14:7. Claws with subapical tooth about half as long as the apical (Fig. 15). Clypeus truncated, labrum small. Cerci short. Ovipositor long and narrow (Figs 8, 10). Antenna as long as head and thorax. Length of fore wing 7.0 mm. Length 8.5 mm. Holotype: female: "Nederlands Indie, Jawa 1800', Z. W. Priangan, XII. 1941, J. M. A. v. Groenandel". The holotype is deposited in the zoological collection of the Amsterdam University. The unicolour brownish wings and the bluish metallic lustre differ the new species from its closest relative: Amonophadnus pullus Benson, 1935 which has unicolorous bicolour wings and greenish metallic lustre.
