Middle lobes marked with red alongside their outer margin. Tegulae and the other parts of the thorax black. Sawsheath similar to that of D. ephippiatus Smith. Serrulae 4-6 in Haris 2000, Fig. 11. 10.0-11.0 mm. D. yokohamensis Rohwer 12 (1) Body frequently coloured with red (only D. gessneri Ed. André and the dark colour variation of Dolerus subfasciatus Smith is black). Abdominal tergites without transverse sculpture (except Dolerus gessneri Ed. André). Cerci long, apical setae reach over the apex of the sawsheath. Number of serrulae: 9-15. 13 (16) Body entirely black, reddish or reddish yellow markings may occur only on the legs. 14 (15) Abdominal tergites with transverse surface sculpture. Propleuron with crater­like punctures. Sawsheath in Haris 2000, Fig. 94. 9.0-11.0 mm. D. gessneri Ed. André 15 (14) Abdominal tergites smooth and shining, propleuron without crater-like punc­tures. D. subfasciatus Smith 16 (13) Abdomen more or less red. 17 (24) Legs more or less red, at least the first knees. Mesopleuron with crater-like punctures.
