Pristiphora hoverlaensis sp. n. Head black, labrum and palpi white. Thorax black, narrow hind pronotal margin, tegulae and cenchri white. Fore and middle coxae black with white apices; hind coxa white with black base. Trochanters white, femora brownish black, tibiae white with black apical rings, tarsi blackish brown. Fore and middle basitarsi white. Wings hyaline, venation black, costa and stigma dark brown. Abdomen black. Head shining, densely, uniformly and moderately roughly punctured. Frontal area well outlined, no hind carina. Hairs moderately dense, white and about 1/3-1/2 times as long as the diameter of front ocellus. Ratios of the antennái segments = 6:5:37:39:39:34:34:30:35. OOL:POL:OCL = 9:9:6. Clypeus truncated. Length of genae:diameter of front ocellus = 8:5. Thorax shin­ing, densely and moderately finely punctured. Scutellum and postscutellum sporadical­ly punctured shining. Scutellum flat. Length of hind tibia/hind tarsus = 99:93 (including claws). Length of inner hind tibial spunwidth of hind tibia above = 22:12. Abdomen shining, shallowly wrinkled and finely granulated. Penis valve with auricular apical pro­jection highly sclerotised (Fig. 3). Length: 5.8 mm. Holotype — Male: Term. Véd. Terület, (Nature Conservation Area), Hoverla felé, 800-1600 m, Kárpátalja (Sub-Carpathia), Máramarosi k. k, Tiszabogdány, Brebenyeszkul, 1997.06.13, leg. Zombori L. The holotype is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. The new species blongs to the subgenus Pristiphora Latreille, 1810. It runs to Pristiphora geniculata (Hartig, 1840). The auricular apical projection and the highly sclerotised penis valve separate the new species from Pristiphora geniculata. REFERENCES Benson, R. B.
