Pseudoleria Garret, 1908, a heleomyzid fly genus new to the Palearctic Region (Diptera: Heleomyzidae) A palearktikus faunarégióra új génusz, a Pseudoleria Garret, 1908 (Diptera: Heleomyzidae) Összefoglalás — A Pseudoleria peetinata (Loew, 1872) egy példányát gyűjtötték Egyiptomban, 2001 márciusában. A génusznak ez az első előfordulási adata a Palearktikum területéről. In March 2001 I spent some weeks in Egypt. On the 14th of March I collected on the window of an office in 6th October City, an industrial town close to Cairo, a Heleomyzidae, which I belive to be a fly of genus Aecothea Haliday, 1839. Later I decided to show the specimen to dr. László Papp. By using Czerny (1924) and Gill (1962) we determined the specimen as Pseudoleria peetinata (Loew, 1872). This is the first record of a Pseudoleria from the Palearctic Region. The genus Pseudoleria is North American, yet P. peetinata has been spread by human activity since it has been recorded from Australia and South Africa and possibly also from New Zealand and Chile (Pitkin 1990).
