Eight species, Tabanus bromius, T. bovinus, T. glaucopis, T. maculicornis, T. quatuornotatus , T. tergestinus, Haematopota italica and H. pluvialis make up 84.71% of the fauna of horse-flies in Slovenia, while 15.29% were representatives of other species. The most numerous genus is Tabanus with 681 (81.94%) determined specimens. Next in number are the genus Haematopota with 86 (10.34%) determined specimens, Atylotus with 23 (2.76%), Chrysops with 13 (1.56%), Hybomitra with 13 (1.56%), Philipomyia with 9 (1.08%), Silvius with 4 (0.48%), Heptatoma with 1 (0.12%) and finally the genus Dasyrhamphis with 1 (0.12%) determined specimens.
