Tongatapu Island, which differed from the species of Uracrobates by the movable and immovable pteromorpha, thus Balogh & Balogh (1992) synonymised it with Uracrobates. I also share Balogh's opinion. One other species was described by Mahunka (1988) under the name of U. africamts, and this species came forth from the material from Kenya. The study of the specimens from Kenya gave me the opportunity to investigate the mobility of the pteromorpha. I have to establish that on the small number of specimens available it cannot be unequivocally declared whether the pteromorpha is movable or immovable. The reexamination of the type of the genus (magniporosus) revealed the presence of the suture. The same could also be observed on the specimens from Kenya. However, on the holotype of africanus it is almost wholly obliterated, on the other hand, the other features (habitus, custodium, epimeral setae, legs) I am quite certain that the species generally are the same.
