Holotype — Female: Honduras, Cortés, Parque Nacional Cusuco, 5 km N Buenos Aires (1529'N 8813'W), 3.III. 1995., Malaise trap in oak/pine cloud forest. R. Cave leg. Preserved at the Institute of Zoology, Lund, Sweden. It is similar to L. dorsalis Buhl (in press) in colour, but dor sails has longer scutellar spine and sparser hairs on disc of fore wing which is without marginal cilia. L. bicolorata is most similar to L. maculata Buhl (in press) in morphology, but maculata is uniformly light brownish and has propodeal carinae higher and more curved than in bicolorata. Leptacis heredia sp. n. (Figs 4-6) Male — Length: 1.6 mm. Colour black; antennae and leg reddish brown, A7-A10 and coxae blackish. Head rather dull, from above (Fig. 4) 1.9 times as wide as long, as wide as thorax, finely and uniformly reticulate-coriaceous, with a few wrinkles around antennái insertions; occipital carina distinct but weak. Lateral ocelli separated from eye by their diameter; OOL:POL:LOL = 1:7:3. Head from front fully 1.1 times as wide as high. Antenna (Fig. 5) with Al 0.8 times as long as height of head. Figs 4-6.
