DESCRIPTION OF THE SPECIES Asemonea Stella Wanless, 1980 (Figs 1-6) Asemonea Stella Wanless, 1980: 237-238. f. 16; Wesolowska and Russell-Smith 2000: 16-19. ff. 14-17. Diagnosis — The star-shaped spot on the dorsal side of the abdomen is of diagnostic value (Wesolowska pers. comm.). The females can be recognised by the small atria and the median shallow depression of the epigyne (Fig. 4). Description of a female — Carapace (Figs 1-3): pale yellow with two blackish, unclear bands from the PLE-s. Eyes: with black surroundings, except AME-s. Clypeus: pale yellow, with several fine, white hairs. Chelicerae: pale yellow; promargin with 3, retromargin with 7 teeth. Maxillae, labium and sternum: pale yellow. Abdomen: pale yel­low with an unclear black pattern (Fig. 1). Leg segments: pale yellow, femur of leg IV. with an apical, retrolateral black spot. Leg spination: I. fm d 1-1-3ap; pt 0; tb v 2-2-2-2; mt v 2-2-2-2. II. fm d 1—1—3ap; pt 0; tb v 2-2-2-2; mt v 2-2-2-2. III. fm d l-l-3ap; pt 0; tb v 2 med - 6 ap; mt 2 bas -2 med - 6 ap. IV. fm d 1-1-3 ap; pt 0; tb v 2 med - 6 ap; mt 2 bas -2 med - 6 ap. Dimensions — Total length 3.1; carapace 1.3 long, 0.85 wide at PLE, 0.75 high at PLE. Abdomen length 1.75. AM row 0.75, AL row 0.85, PM row 0.7, PL 0.7. Eye field 0.5 long; clypeus 0.1 high. Leg segments I. 1.13 + 0.25 + 0.88 + 0.9 + 0.25; II 1.0 + 0.3 + 0.75 + 0.62 + 0.25; III 1.0 + 0.3 + 0.75 + 0.75 + 0.25; IV 1.0 + 0.25 + 0.62 + 1.2+ 0.3. Distribution — Africa: Kenya (Kilifi - the type locality), Tanzania (Mkomazi Game Reserve); Australia: Queensland (Darwin). Material examined — 2 EE from Australia, Queensland, Darwin, "eny Mackay-Bowen 12-13 III. '965 /főképp klopf és fűháló a már nem száraz szubtrópusi részeken / Balogh" [= mainly beating and sweeping in not dry subtropical areas] Hungarian Soil Expedition 1965.
