ing at the same level with the inner pair. Dorsosejugal region comparatively large, without any sculpture. Notogastral surface smooth. Setae of notogaster long and thin, those of body margins shorter. Venral side (Fig. 17): Infracapitulum of gnathosoma (Fig. 27) oblong, but wide, palpi well differentiated, solenidia also long, infracapitular setae well visible. Apodemes on anterior and posterior sternal plates thick, yet short, all epimeres open, their surfaces finally punctate. On posterior sternal plate, ap 4 short, but well chitinized, posterior sternal apodeme represented only by a very short line. Epimeres 1, 3 with small suction disks each, epimeres 4 with larger ones, beside a pair of aggenital setae standing near primordium of genital opening. Adhering plate normally developed, removed from the posterior body margin, all disks D and Ds well discernible, excepting reduced Ds v D { larger than D r Legs (Figs 18-21): All legs with claws, leg I with a longer, leg 2 with a shorter spoonshaped adhering setae. Solenidium <p, (Fig. 28) of tarsus of leg I very long, much longer than entire tarsus. Solenidium (o x short, <D 3 minute. Tarsus of leg II (Fig. 29) with solenidium <p. longer than a> ] . Material examined — Holotype: Manure of animals, Assiut, Egypt. Leg. S. A. Eraky. 20.5.1998. Five paratypes from the same locality. Holotype and 4 paratypes deposited in Plant Protection Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Assiut University, Egypt. One paratype deposited in the Arachnoidea collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest, Hungary. Remarks — The new species stands in many respects close to Acotyledon manuri sp. n., but differs from it by the shape of gnathosoma and propodosoma, the presence of posterior sternal apodeme and the structure and chaetotaxy of the legs. HlSTIOSTOMATIDAE Histiostoma mannai sp. n. (Figs 34-40) Measurements — Length: 117-133 urn and breadth: 88-100 \xm. Dorsal side (Fig. 34): Body rather oval, propodosoma approximately triangular in outline. Propodosomatic and hysterosomatic surfaces smooth. Inner pair of propodosomatic setae are the same length of the outer ones, and originating only a little in front of them. Dorsosejugal region wide, ornamented with a rough sculpture. Ventral side (Fig. 35): Infracapitulum of gnathosoma (Fig. 36) conspicuously long, solenidia hardly longer than it, palpi short, but well discernible. Apodemes thick, ap.sa. short, eding free, far from sejugal apodemes. Ap 2 long, fused with ap.sej. Arc of sejugal apodemes bulging forward to a great extent, forming a large bay in the middle, the latter fused posteriorly with intermediate sternal apodeme. Ap 4 very thick. Whole sternocoxal region well chitinized. Epimeres 1, 3 and 4 bearing well developed suckers, and a pair of well discernible setae standing beside primordium of genital opening. Adhering plate very large, occupying entire body surface behind and partly between legs IV. Legs (Figs 37-40). All legs with normal claws, adhering setae of leg I short and spoon-shaped, that of leg II longer and setiform. Legs III and IV with setiform terminal tarsal setae, longer and thicker on leg IV. Solenidium e not discernible in solenidial group; a), shorter and thinner than (p 2 ; solenidium (p } longer. On leg II, solenidium a), longer and thicker than (p..
