The other example is the taxonomic position of the genus Szelenyioprioides Szabó. In the published paper on the Mongolian diapriid fauna (Szabó 1974c, see below) this genus is classified within the subfamily Ismarinae and this fact was followed by Johnson (1992) in his world catalogue of Proctotrupoidea. It is also obvious, that Szelenyioprioides is not an ismarine diapriid, in fact, it belongs to the Spilomicrus-cluster of genera of the subfamily Diapriinae (with well-developed frontal protuberance, 13-segmented antennae in male, the wing venation, presence of notaulix, etc.). Szabó himself compared his new taxon with the genus Tritopria Kieffer (currently synonym of Spilomicrus Westwood). It is unknown whether the manuscript was incorrect or the edition changed an originally correct order (in the published paper right after the description of Szelenyioprioides comes Diapriinae with the first species Loxotropa tapferi Szabó). Despite the facts expounded above, a taxonomist intending to deal with the CentralEuropean, African or Central-Asian proctotrupoid fauna should always consult Szabó's papers. The present work tries to ease such a study. The list of the nomenclatural position of the taxa is arranged in two parts. The first column contains the names proposed by J. B. Szabó, in the second one there are the corresponding names used currently. Wherever an other name is used than the originally described one, the proposer and his publication date is mentioned for an easy access to the References, otherwise a long dash means unchanged names. Equation marks in the first column represent corrected names and numbers in brackets refer to Szabó's publication numbers. Six new names are proposed for preoccupied ones. These species may eventually turn out to be junior synonyms of other taxa, but at present for the sake of nomenclatural clarity these had to be done. Proposal of new names for preoccupied ones of J. B. Szabó: Scelionidae Telenomus szabói Megyaszai nom. nov. for Telenomus cubiceps Szabó. Preoccupied by Telenomus cubiceps (Ashmead, 1894). Trimorus pannonicus Megyaszai nom. nov. for Trimorus laevifrons (Szabó). Preoccupied by Trimorus laevifrons (Thomson, 1859). Trimorus kateae Megyaszai nom. nov. for Trimorus monticola Szabó. Preoccupied by Trimorus monticola Fouts, 1948. Diapriidae Basalys szabói Megyaszai nom. nov. for Basalys nana (Szabó). Preoccupied by Basalys nana (Ashmead, 1893). Trichopria mongolica Megyaszai nom. nov. for Trichopria globiceps Szabó. Preoccupied by Trichopria globiceps (Dodd, 1916). Trichopria alfoeldica Megyaszai nom. nov. for Trichopria parva (Szabó). Preoccupied by Trichopria parva (Ashmead, 1893). Our thanks are due to J. Papp and L. Zombori of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, J. Macek of the National Museum of Prague and Norman F. Johnson of Ohio State University for their valuable help, comments and for sending publications.
