HELCONINAE The subfamily is divided in three tribes: Cenocoeliini, Diospilini and Helconini which are represented by one, six and four genera, respectively, in the fauna of Europe as well as of Hungary. A total of 26 helconine species are listed in Hungary, five of them are new to our fauna. The helconine species are parasitoids of, mainly wood boring, beetle larvae belonging to ten families and parasitoids of the mecopterous Boreidae. Cenocoeliini Szépligeti, 1904 In the systematical sense the tribe name was set up by Szépligeti in 1904 under the name Cenocoelionini, however, literally by Muesebeck (& Walkley) in 1951. Worldwide four genera (Cenocoelius Haliday, 1840, Foenomorpha Szépligeti, 1904, Iseura Spinola, 1853 and Plectobracon Brèthes, 1927) are ranged in this tribe of which one, Cenocoelius (with five synonyms) is present in the European fauna. Cenocoelius Westwood, 1840 In Europe three Cenocoelius species are known of which two are listed in Hungary, the third species, C. femorator Tobias, 1973, is reported from Latvia and the European part of Russia (Sankt Petersburg region, Teberda). Monochamus sutor Linnaeus is a new host for C. secalis and Xylonites retusus Olivier for C. analis. Diospilini Ashmead, 1900 In the systematical sense the tribe name was erected by Förster in 1862 under the name Diospiloidae, however, literally by Ashmead in 1900. In the braconid world-catalogue Shenefelt (1970: 204-220) registered 13 genera in this tribe of which five are present in the European fauna. The sixth genus, Hellenius (with one species from Finland), was discovered in 1982 by Tobias (1982, 1986: 158); this genus is not a member of the
