Notophthiracarus gressitti sp. n. Measurements. Length of aspis: 222-292 pm, length of notogaster: 361-556 pm; height of notogaster: 236-375 pm. Aspis: Surface ornamented by weak foveolae laterally and two pairs of ribs basally. Anterobasal surface smooth. Median crista absent, its dorsal outline concave in lateral view (Fig. 7). Lateral carina also absent, lateral rim long, reaching to the apex. Sinus line weakly developed. Rostral setae curved forwards and downwards, well pilose. Inter­lamellar setae robust, long, lamellar setae setiform, finely pilose. Exobothridial setae thin and simple. Sensillus short, its peduncle thin, its head lanceolate. Notogaster: Surface with weak sculpture, consisting of foveolae. Fifteen pairs of nearly equal length, straight notogastral setae, two pairs of alveoli of the vestigial setae and two pairs of lyrifissures present (Fig. 7). All setae strong, bacilliform, with some strong spicules on their distal end. Anogenital region: The position of the genital setae typical for the genus, arranged in longitudinal rows near to the inner margin of the genital plates (Figs 10-11). Five pairs Figs 10-11.
