The species is widespread in the western parts of the desert regions of the Old World, the eastern subspecies occurs in the Arabian peninsula, Iraq and in Iran. With the same phenology as published by Wiltshire (1990), the ground colour of the specimens are less ochreous but characteristically pale ashy grey with a fine rosaceous shade.
