into lactic acid. Following cleaning of gall mites in the lactic acid or in the Nesbitt fluid, the animals were placed into Keifer's medium 2 (Keifer 1952). The cleaned and dyed mites were then placed into Keifer's medium 3. The steady preparations were dried in thermostat at 32 °C, then framed with nail varnish. Eriophyoid mites were studied with phase contrast microscope. The identification of the genus was made by using the recent Amrine's key (1996) and that of the species on the basis of the original descriptions and other available reports. RESULTS Eriophyoid mites were collected on 84 species of 269 woody plant species belonging to 26 families. The Eriophyoid species found on these plants are listed below. Table 1.
