ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK LVIII 1997 pp. 105-113 Contribution to the braconid fauna of Hungary, XII. Calyptinae - 1. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) J. Papp Contribution to the braconid fauna of Hungary, XII. Calyptinae - 1. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) Thirty-seven species of the braconid tribe Calyptini are reported from Hungary, the species are assigned to 5 genera: Aliolus Say with 3 species, Allodoms Foerster with 4 species, Eubazus Nees with 25 species, Foersteria Szépligeti with 2 species and Polydegmon Foerster with 3 species. From among them 13 species proved to be new to the fauna of Hungary and, furthermore, 6 species names are supposedly synonymous, all they are specified in the subsequent introductory chapter. Localities of the species, except the frequent and common species, are presented according to the zoogeographical districts of the Carpathian Basin (cf. Móczár et al. 1972). CALYPTINAE/CALYPTINI Introduction - The calyptine subfamily is divided in 2 tribes: Calyptini and Triaspidini; in the above title the number 1 after the subfamily name Calyptinae refers to the tribe Calyptini. In Hungary 37 Calyptini species have been detected which are assigned to 5 genera (the species numbers of each genus are presented in parentheses): Aliolus Say (3 species), Allodoms Foerster (4 species), Eubazus Nees (25 species), Foersteria Szépligeti (2 species) and Polydegmon Foerster (3 species). The calyptine material here disclosed is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Faunistic and some bionomical contributions were published for the Hungarian species of the tribe Calyptini by Győrfi (1941, 1959a, 19596), Papp (1983, 1987, 1991, 1996), Szépligeti (1896a, 18966, 1896c, 1899, 1900) and Zilahi-Kiss (1915); those for the former Czechoslovakia, adjacent northwards to Hungary, by Capek and Lukas (1989) and Snoflák (1953). Several calyptine species were reported from Bulgaria by Zaykov(1978). Thirteen species of the tribe Calyptini proved to be new to the fauna of Hungary: Aliolus breviseta (Snoflák), A. hofferi (Snoflák), Eubazus augustinus (Ruthe), E. cruentatus (Ruthe), E. exsertor (Reinhard), E. fasciatus (Nees), E. gigas (Fahringer), E. minutus (Ratzeburg), E. robustus (Ratzeburg), E. semicastaneus (Marshall), E. sochiensis Tobias, E. subvagus Tobias and E. tauricus Tobias. Six calyptine species names are supposed to be synonymous, they are as follows: Eubazus cingulatus (Szépligeti) sen. name ?= Calyptus rufiventris Abdinbekova ?jun. syn.; Eubazus fuscipes (Herrich-Schäffer) sen. name ?= Eubazus talitzkii Tobias ?jun. syn.; Eubazus gallicus (Reinhard) jun. name ?= Eubadizon aequator Flerrich-Schaeffer ?sen. syn.; Eubazus parvulus (Ruthe) sen. name ?= Calyptus cracoviensis Niezabitowski (?)jun. syn., (?)= Bracon pusillus Brullé; Eubazus vagus (Ruthe) sen. name ?= Calyptus caudatus Niezabitowski (?)jun. syn.
