Horváth) METHODS The research project lasted for three years during 1992-1994. Expedient for the proj­ect the most favourable collecting device was the tangle trap. Non-desiccating glue was smeared on four yellow plates of 110 * 110 cm size each, these were fastened onto 40 x 35 cm sized also yellow plastic plates with an appropriate small roof preventing rainfall. In the old oak wood stands the traps were hanged in the shrub layers at about 2 m height and in the canopy at about 8-10 m height; in the young oak forest stands at about 2.5 m height (Fig. 1).
