Bártfa (= Bardejov), Lamavisko (Mts Csergő) — 1II/2-5 (Transylvania): 6 females + 7 males from 11 localities — V/l: 2 males from 2 localities — VI/1-2: 4 females + 4 males from 7 localities — V-IX, most frequently taken in June-July. Chelonus cylindrus (Klug, 1816) — Szépligeti (fam. Braconidae in Gen. Ins. 1904: 95) synonymized it with Ch. mutabilis (Nees, 1816) = Ch. oculator (Fabricius, 1775), nec (Panzer, 1779) and since this time Klug's species was held up in synonymy. The species was recently re-validated by me (Papp 1995: 121-125). I saw specimens from Germany, Hungary and Turkey. — Localities: 1/1: 1 female: Budapest, Csepel. 1 female: Kunfehértó, Városerdő. 1 female: Martonvásár. 1 male: Sárszentmihály — II/l: 4 females + 1 male: Hárskút. 1 male: Herend. 1 female: Pilisszántó, Hosszú-hegy. 2 females: Sukoró. 1 female: Tihany, Csúcs-hegy — 1 1/2: 1 male: Aggtelek. 1 female: Bodrogszegi — III/5 (Transylvania): 1 female: Dicsőszentmárton (= Tîrnaveni) — V/l: 1 male: Kőszeg, Alsó-erdő — VI/2: 1 female: Mernye, Szana. 1 female: Somogyaszaló — VI-VIII. Chelonus decorus Marshall, 1885 — Described from England, reported first from Hungary by Szépligeti from the localities Szeghalom and Oravicza (in Banat, since 1920 in Romania) (Szépligeti 1896a: 174). Szépligeti's two males are not housed in the Budapest Museum. — Localities: 1/1: 1 female: Bátorliget, swept in Cirsio-Festucetum pratensis — II/l: 1 male: Porva, Pálihálás — VI-VII. Chelonus elongatus Szépligeti, 1898 — Described from Serbia: "Grebenácz" (lectotype in Budapest Museum, Hym. Typ. No. 533), listed in Germany and Finland; in Hungary taken only the males so far. — Localities: 1/1: 1 male: Agasegyháza. 2 males: Bátorliget. 2 males: Horgos (= Horgos in Voivodina, Serbia). 1 male: Martonvásár. 1 male: Zsombó — II/l: 1 male: Hárskút. 1 male: Várpalota, Baglyas-hegy — VI/2: 2 males: Keszthely, Diás-sziget (Kis-Balaton) — V-VIII. Chelonus humilis Thomson, 1874 (= Ch. rugigena Thomson, 1874) — Very near to the species Ch. asiaticus Telenga, Ch. carbonator Marshall and Ch. corvulus Marshall. New to the fauna of Hungary. — Localities: 1/1: 1 female: Mártély, Körtvélyes — VI/2: 1 female: Simontornya — VI. Chelonus inanitus (Linnaeus, 1767) — In Hungary in the zoogeographical districts Eupannonicum (1/1) and Pilisicum (II/l) taken fairly frequently, elsewhere much less frequent. Widely distributed in the Palaearctic Region. Carapace with a pair of basal yellow maculae which are very variable in their extent and which variability was registered by Szépligeti (1898a, 18986: 211-212 and 223-224). — Localities: 1/1: 4 females + 21 males from 11 localities — 1 1/2: 6 females + 9 males from 10 localities — III/l (Slovakia): 1 female + 1 male: Trencsén (= Trenöin), Brezina — III/4 (Transylvania): 1 male: Hadad (= Hodod) — IV (Transylvania): 1 male: Mehádia (= Mehadia) — VI/2: 1 male: Kéty — V-IX, taken most frequently in May. Chelonus jacobsoni Tobias, 1986 — Described recently from Russia (St. Petersburg region) and Finland, reported from Switzerland (Papp 1996: 92). New to the fauna of Hungary. — Localities: II/l: 1 female: Bodajk, Gaja-szurdok — III/3 (Transylvania): 1 female: Dicsőszentmárton (= Tîrnaveni) — VIII. Chelonus kryzhanovskii Tobias, 1966 — Since its description known only from Turkmenia (Tobias 1986a: 315). New to the fauna of Hungary. — Locality: II/l: 1 male: Budapest, Budatétény — VII. Chelonus mirandus Tobias, 1964 — Known from Kazakhstan (Tobias 1986a: 316) so far. New to the fauna of Hungary. — Localities: 1/1:2 males: Bátorliget. 1 male: Budapest, Kistétény. 1 male: Budapest, Orczy-kert. 4 males: Fülöpháza, nature reserved sand dunes. 1 male: Ocsa. 1 male: Őrbottyán: Őrszentmiklós. 1 male: Sárszentmihály.
