Ascogaster caucasica Kokoujev, 1895 (= A. rostratus Szépligeti, 1896) — In Hun­gary it is relatively frequent in the Zoogeographie district Pilisicum (II/ 1), elsewhere spo­radic to rare. In Europe known from nine countries (Capek and Lukas 1989: 42, Hud­dleston 1984: 354). It is somewhat surprising that Tobias (1986a: 301) placed the Ko­koujev's name A. caucasica in synonymy with A. bicarinata Herrich-Schaeffer contrar­ily to Huddleston (I.e.) who distinguished them with clear-cut specific features. — Lo­calities: 1/1: 1 male: Borosjenő (= Ineu, Transylvania). 1 female: Djakovár (= Diakovo, Croatia). 1 female: Vácduka, Csörög. 2 females + 2 males: Sárszentmihály. 1 male: Sződ — II/l: 3 females + 11 males (2 male paralectotypes of A. rostratus, in Budapest Mu­seum, Hym. Typ. Nos 521-522): Budapest, Budafok. 2 females + 10 males (1 male lec­totype and 1 male paralectotype of A. rostratus, in Budapest Museum, Hym. Typ. Nos 519-520): Budapest, Gellérthegy. 1 female + 5 males: Budapest, Hármashatár-hegy. 1 female: Budapest, Sas-hegy. 4 females: Budapest, Sváb-hegy. 3 females + 3 males: Budapest, Kistétény. 2 females + 1 male: Köveskál, Kornyi-tó. 1 female + 1 male: Nadap. 1 female: Sukoró. 3 males: Tihany. 5 females: Visegrád— II/2: 1 female + 13 males: Felsőtárkány — VI/1 : 2 females: Pécs, Misina — V-VIII, frequent in May-June. Ascogaster consobrina Curtis, 1837 — Known from eight countries in Europe (Ca­pek and Lukas 1989: 42, Huddleston 1984: 367); Tobias (1986a) do not mention it from the European part of the former USSR. In Hungary frequent in the Bükk National Park (II/2). — Localities: II/l: 1 female + 1 male: Pénzesgyőr. 3 females: Tés — II/2: 1 female + 13 males from eight localities in the Bükk National Park — V-VI, frequent in June. Ascogaster dentifer Tobias, 1976 — Since its description twenty years ago (Tobias 1976: 236) from Armenia and Georgia the species proved to be frequent in Europe (Capek and Luká§ 1989: 42, Huddleston 1984: 359). First reported from Hungary by Huddleston (I.e.). In Hungary frequent to common in the Zoogeographie district Matri­cum (II/1-2), elsewhere sporadic. — Localities: 1/1: 2 males (A. instabilis Wesmael in Papp 1983: 322): Egyek, Ohati-erdő. 1 male: Siófok. 1 male (A. instabilis Wesmael in Papp I.e.): Újszentmargita— II/l: 28 females + 80 males from 14 localities — II/2: 4 fe­males + 23 males from 10 localities (seven from the Bükk National Park) — III/l (Slovakia): 20 males (3 males det. Huddleston 1983): Breznó, Bistra, 500-700 m (Ala­csony-Tátra = Nizke Tatry) — VI/1 : 1 male: Pécs, Lapisi út, karsztbokorerdő (= Cotino­Quercetum). 2 males: Pécs, Misina — VI/2: Nádasd, Csonka-erdő — V-VIII, very fre­quent in June. Ascogaster dispar (Fahringer, 1934) (= A. kozlovi Tobias, 1972; = A. spinifer To­bias, 1964) — Widely distributed in the western Palaearctic Region as far eastwards as Kazakhstan. From Hungary reported first by Huddleston (1984: 275). In Hungary taken during the last three-four decades in many localities, previously less frequently found. — Localities: 1/1: 1 female: Doboz, Szanazug. 1 male: Isaszeg. 1 male: Véménd. 1 male: Siófok, Tóközpuszta — 1/2: 2 males: Győr, ex Grapholitha sinana Feldmann (Lepido­ptera, Tortricidae), host new, 25 July 1976, leg. et educ.
