Van Achterberg recognized in 1982 that M, turanicus (described from the late Soviet Middle Asia) is conspecific with M. flavus, consequently, he synonymized Telenga' s name (Van Achterberg 1982). Hitherto it was reported from France, Austria, Poland, Czecho-Slovakia (Capek 1980: 27), Caucasus Mts, Turkmenia. New to the fauna of Hungary. Macrocentrus (Macrocentrus) hungaricus Marshall, 1893 (=macrocephalus Telenga, 1950; =mongolicus Papp, 1967; =tsunekii Watanabe, 1940) - One of the few braconid species which was described from Hungary by foreign (or non-Hungarian) specialist in the 19th century. The holotype (locality "Hadház" = Hajdúhadház "29.8.82" leg. (?) K. Chyzer, present designation) is housed in the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Budapest), Hym. Typ. No. 7493. - A variable species concerning its sculpture and measurements, the three synonyms (Van Achterberg 1982) also indicate its variability. Its westernmost occurrence is in Switzerland, known from Hungary, Ukraine, Russia (East Siberia), Mongolia and China (Mandzhuria); its present distribution shows a disjunct area. In Hungary listed from five localities.
