Yangida basnetti sp.n. (Figs 909-925) Type material. - Holotype male: Sikkim, Pelling, 1850 m, Castanopsis, 12. III. 1991,1. Dworakowska (in SMTD). - Paratypes: 3 M, 8 F, same data as holotype; 1 M, 1 F, Pelling, 2000 m, 11. III. 1991,1. Dworakowska (in SMTD, NMNH and HMNH). Vertex ochre-brown except a narrow streak along midline and the very base that are whitish. Pronotum yellowish at sides, greyish in midline, with two broad ochre-brown streaks, divergent posteriorly (Fig. 909). Scutum whitish with greyish-brown infuscations or whitish with yellow-ochre basal triangles. Scutellum yellow. Face sordid whitish. Sor­did brown patches above bases of antennae. Anteclypeus and lorae dark brown, lower part of frontoclypeus brown. An orange streak in midline of frons (Fig. 910). Thorax be­neath sordid brownish, legs whitish, claws and apex of hind tibia brown. Fore wing yel­lowish, the pattern (obliquely striped in Fig. 922), brown. Patches at both ends of wax­field blackish-brown, those at wing apex smoky and the remaining ones dark brown. Length M 2.90-3.00, F 2.75-3.15 mm. Male genitalia seem to be specifically characteristic in penis structure (Figs 911, 912), ventral protruding of terminal lobe of pygofer (Fig. 915) and termination of sub­genital plate (Figs 913, 914, 916, 918). Remarks. The new species is named in honour of Mr. P. K. Basnett, Chief Conser­vator of Forests-II, of the Forest Dept., Government of Sikkim. Zyginella angusta sp. n. (Figs 926-935) Type material. - Holotype male: India, H.P., Simla, 2000 m, 21. X. 1981, I. Dwo­rakowska (in SMTD). - Paratypes: 2 M, 23 F, same data as the holotype; 1 M, Kasauli, Malus, 1. V. 1985, Manider Shenhmar; 2 F, Sikkim, Rumtek, 1700 m, lamp domes, 1990, I. Dworakowska (in SMTD, BMNH, NMNH and in Pusa Collection at IARI in New Delhi, India). Vertex and upper side of thorax citrine yellow with brown or blackish-brown pat­tern as shown in Fig. 928. Face yellowish-white with small dark brown patches on anteo­cular areas above bases of antennae. Centre of anteclypeus, lower part and very sides of frontoclypeus, adjoining parts of lorae as well as inner parts of genae dark brown. Fore wing with blackish-brown or dark brown pattern (squared or dashed areas in Fig. 932). Light areas inside c cell yellow or golden-yellow, those on clavus and adjacent part of corium (transversely striated in Fig. 932) white-yellowish, others white. Length M 2.9, F 3.0-3.1 mm. Pygofer short and high with very short almost vertical inner process on caudal lobe and a few macrosetae forming single row submarginally (Figs 926, 934). Arms of con­nective widely spread (Fig. 927). Subgenital plate narrowing toward apex, pigmented in apical region and bearing there a small tooth-like protruding, a few stout small setae at apex and a row of a few feeble microsetae dorso-laterally (Fig. 935). In three examined specimens three large macrosetae along lateral margin on broad part of the plate (Fig. 927) ventrally. Penis stem tubular, arcuate, terminated on laterally compressed lamella (Figs 929, 930). Basal abdominal apodemes of male reaching segment 5, tapering apicad (Fig. 933).
