Farynala malhotri Sharma 2 M, Sikkim, Rumtek, 1700 m, lamp domes, 1990,1. Dworakowska. Farynala shengai sp. n. (Figs 726-731) Type material. - Holotype male: Sikkim, Gangtok, 1650 m, Souroza nepalensis, 2. III. 1991,1. Dworakowska (in SMTD). - Paratypes: 2 M, 1 F, same data as the holotype; 4 M, Rumtek, 1700 m, lamp domes, 1990, I. Dworakowska (in SMTD, NMNH and HNHM). Vertex and upper side of thorax ochre-yellow. Face whitish. In male delicate brownish suffusion in centre and at hind margin of pronotum. In female often distinct broad brown streak in midline of pronotum, its borders diffused (in some males this area orangeous), basal triangles infuscated and scutellum bordered with sordid brownish. Fore wing dull yellowish beige, hardly semitransparent, veins and clavus darker. Wing margin at claval angle, proximal half of its commissural margin, apex of clavus and adjacent patch in 1st apical cell, brownish. Apical part of MP"+CuA' infuscated. Apical cells semitransparent, slightly tan. Tip of valva blackish. Length M 2.90 and 3.20, F 3.15 mm. Comparison. The new species externally very similar to F. malhotri Sharma. Male genitalia also very similar to those of F. malhotri but penis stem broadly arcuate at its base, broadening in apical 2/3, its appendages (especially the most ventral one in side view) broadened subapically (Fig. 726) and, in posterior view, all appendages strongly curved (Fig. 727). In F. malhotri penis appendages are not broadened subapically and in posterior view only one is seen as strongly curved. Remarks. The new species is named in honour of Mr. N.C. Shenga, The Chief Conservator of Forests in the Forest Department of the Government of Sikkim. Guheswaria alata sp. n. (Figs 732-744) Type material. - Holotype male: Sikkim, Rumtek, 1700 m, lamp domes, 1990, I. Dworakowska (in SMTD). Slim. Ivory, with broad orange streak in centre and hind part of pronotum. There is a sign of orange colour on vertex, thus perhaps the orange streak continues cephalad. Several roundish patches along anterior margin of pronotum and basal triangles beige. Apical 3/4 of scutellum orange, the orange colour is marked with transverse striation in Fig. 741. Face sordid whitish. Fore wing whitish, semitransparent. Three orange patches along commissural margin of clavus and a brownish-orange patch at proximal end of wax-field. A few other infuscations, brownish or dark brown (Fig. 736). Length M 2.4 mm. The genital capsule damaged and apex of subgenital plate broken off, terminal part of pygofer incomplete and anal tube missing. Male genitalia unique. Preatrium of penis broader than in any known species of the genus, penis stem thick, tubular bearing two long, arcuate, asymmetrical, dorsal praeapical appendages and two lateral ones supporting semimembraneous apex (Figs 733, 744). Connective very short, lamellate (Fig. 743).
