background of yellowish-white patches on anteocular areas by the eyes (Fig. 660). Abdomen black, with sordid whitish edges of sclerites. In female a large white patch in the midline of sternite 6 (Fig. 662). Legs yellow. Fore wing mostly blackish, with whitish to yellowish pattern on clavus and basal 2/3 of corium and whitish on remaining apical 1/3 (Fig. 672). Veins AA, CuA and M (except apically), reddish. A brown patch on the light wax-field often separate from the surounding infuscation. In male genitalia the most characteristic is long, arcuate penis stem, with a pair of short (fused with each other) dorsal apical appendages and a pair of long ventral appendages (Figs 659, 661). Sclerotization at dorso-caudal angle large, bent mesad (Figs 665, 669, 670). Caudal part of paramere arcuate, tapering (Figs 667, 671). Eupteryx (Stacla) albonigra sp. n. (Figs 675-688) Type material. - Holotype male: Nepal (central), Komrung, 17. XI, 1981, I. Dworakowska (in SMTD). - Paratypes: 1 M, India, W Bengal, Ghoom, 8-11 km S of Darjeeling, 25. X; 5 M (one very dark - Fig. 685), 4 M, not fully pigmented (Fig. 687), Tiger Hills, Ghoom, 24. X. 1981, C.A. Viraktamath; 2 M, 3 F, Sikkim, Rumtek, 1800 m, 6. Ill; 7 M, 14 F, Labrang, 1800-2000 m, forest, 8. Ill; 2 F, Geizing, 1700 m, 12. Ill, 1991, I. Dworakowska (in SMTD, BMNH, UAS, NMNH and HNHM). Body form as in E. (S.) stacla Dwor. Vertex and upper side of thorax blackishbrown, anterior margin of vertex whitish (Fig. 682). In not fully coloured specimens vertex might remain light on larger area. Face yellowish. Fore wing sordid brownish on basal 3/4, almost black at costal margin, without pigmentation apically except blackishbrown patch at apex of 3rd apical cell and often infuscation in 2nd apical cell (Figs 685687). In some specimens CuA reddish. Hind wing infuscated in its basal 2/3, not pigmented apically; longitudinal veins dark brown basally, white on the colourless apical part. Length M 2.90 mm (holotype) - 3.30 mm (specimens from Bengal), F 2.75-3.20 mm (specimens infected by Dryinidae the largest). Comparison. Male genital apparatus very similar to that of E. (S.) stacla, differing by penis stem more sharply curved at its base (Fig. 677) and by other sclerotization of terminal part of pygofer lobe (Fig. 683). Specimens from Bengal have better expressed teeth sculpture at caudo-ventral angle of pygofer, forming a knob-like minute mesal extension; this structure is variable but it is absent from the single male from Nepal - the holotype. Eupteryx (Stacla) cristagalli Dwor. 1 F, Sikkim, Rumtek, 1700 m, lamp domes, 1990; 26 M, 17 F, Rumtek, 1800 m, 6. III; 1 M, Labrang, 1800-2000 m, forest, 8. Ill; 3 M, 2 F, Pelling, 2000 m, 11. III. 1991,1. Dworakowska. Anteclypeus in male considerably broader than in female. In very dark specimens the wax-field might be totally blackish-brown.
