wing semitransparent, greyish, with darker veins and brownish or brownish-orange cla­vus and adjacent part of cua and dark brown wax-field (Fig. 545). Length M 3.6 and 3.7, F 3.6 mm. Comparison. Male genitalia distinctive. Ventral pygofer appendage (Figs 547, 549) resembles that of T. subrufa (de Mötsch.) and anal tube appendage (Fig. 546) is as in 77. barbata Dwor. Apical part of paramere (Fig. 544) very short. Penis bearing large, un­paired ventral appendage and heavily sclerotized laterally serrated lamella next to the apodeme (Figs 543, 550); penis stem thin, tubular, much shorter than ventral appendage. Head of male pale yellowish, upper side of thorax light beige, basal triangles brown­ish. Female darker; in fully coloured one 3/4 of ventral part of frontoclypeus dark brown (further apicad in the midline) and similar infuscation on lorae and to the sides (Fig. 553), yellowish apically. Vermara horneata sp. n. (Figs 554-565) Type material. - Holotype male: W Sikkim, Pelling, 2000 m, shrubs, 11. III. 1991,1. Dworakowska (in SMTD). - Paratypes: 3 M, 4 F, same data as the holotype (in SMTD and NMNH). Size and body proportions as in V. neglecta Dwor. but lighter. Male pale but its wings show distinct rose tint basally and apical veins are reddish. In Fig. 559 is shown face of the darkest female. Pronotum dark grey-brownish, lateral parts at hind margin lighter (Fig. 558). Scutum and scutellum sordid whitish, basal triangles dark grey-brown­ish. Fore wing with distinct rosy tint in basal 2/3, its smoky areas smaller than in V. neg­lecta. Length M 3.45 and 3.50, F 3.40-3.55 mm. Comparison. Male genitalia differ from those of V. neglecta mostly by penis struc­ture. Penis stem in the new species is thin, bent up (Fig. 555), provided with only lateral subapical extensions (Fig. 556) and fused with atrial appendage on much longer distance than in V. neglecta; the appendage heavily sclerotized and bifurcated apically.
