Vertex of male produced anteriorly. Predominating colour yellowish-green. Often apex of vertex, anterior part of pronotum and centre of face ochre-yellow in dried specimens. Clavus and adjacent part of corium light yellow, costal part of corium colourless, apical cells slightly infuscated, costal margin green. Length M and F 3.2-3.4 mm. Male genitalia unique because of thin, tubular penis stem bearing small lamellate dorsal extension and two small, thin lateral processes at its apex (Figs 401, 402). Ventral penis appendage like a question mark in profile (Fig. 401). Comparison Caudal part of paramere and its club-like extension resemble those of M. horneata Sohi. Long setae on cephalo-ventral part of pygofer (Fig. 406) resemble M. wroblewskae (Dwor.). Central lobe of connective reduced (Fig. 404). Mandera nigrifrons sp. n. (Figs 385-397) Type material. - Holotype male: Sikkim, Gangtok, 1650 m, 2. III. 1991, I. Dworakowska (in SMTD). - Paratypes: 6 M, 11 F, same data as the holotype; 1 F, Gangtok, N H-wy, 1800 m, 3 III; 5 M, 5 F, Rumtek, 1700 m, 5. Ill; 1 M, Rumtek, 1800 m, 6. HI; 4 M, 5 F, Pelling, 1850 m, Magnoliaceae tree, 12. III. 1991 ; 1 M (without black pigment on head), 4 F, Rumtek, 1700 m, lamp domes, 1990,1. Dworakowska (in SMTD, NMNH and HNHM). Vertex rounded anteriorly. Head and upper side of thorax light olivaceous-yellow. In male half to almost whole vertex and upper part of face, blackish (Figs 386-388). Narrow streaks by eyes and bordering of upper parts of lateral frontal sutures usually remain light. Female without black pattern on head. Fore wing light olivaceous-yellow on clavus and up to 2/3 of commissural part of corium, costal part colourless, costal margin greenish, apical cells smoked (lighter costad). Length M 3.2 - 3.5, F 3.2-3.4 mm. Comparison. Penis resembles that of M. cornuta Dwor. but ventral process longer, sinuate, laterally compressed and terminated on a small extension (Figs 385, 394). The ventral subapical processes of the penis stem bent up at about half length, running symmetrically close to and parallel to the penis stem. Paramere (Figs 389, 395) resembles that of M. hepneri Dwor. Connective (Fig. 396) with small central lobe. Basal abdominal apodemes (Fig. 397) resemble those of M. cornuta. Remark. The male specimen exposed to prolonged heat inside the lamp dome lost its black pigment on head. Mitjaevia aurea sp. n. (Figs 407-414) Type material. - Holotype male: Sikkim, Rumtek, 1700 m, lamp domes, 1990, I. Dworakowska (in SMTD). - Paratypes; 1 F, Gangtok, N H-wy, 1800 m, 3. Ill; 4 M, 6 F, Rumtek, 1700 m, 5. Ill; 1 F, W Sikkim, Pelling, 2000 m, shrubs, 11. III. 1991, I. Dworakowska (in SMTD and NMNH). Vertex and upper side of thorax ivory with blackish patches as in Fig. 408. Broad streak in centre of frontoclypeus and genae ivory. Anteclypeus and sides of frontoclypeus
