ated areas; hind margin of pronotum grey at sides, a streak in its midline sordid yellowish; scutum and scutellum ochre. Face of male sordid beige, broadened; narrow lorae, adjacent parts of frontoclypeus and ventral 1/3 of anteclypeus as well as an arcuate transverse fascia at the level of bases of antennae, sordid dark brown. Remaining part of anteclypeus and a narrow transverse fascia at apex of face (bordering the ivory anterior margin of vertex), sordid brown. Face of female of ordinary proportions, most of its surface uniformly blackish-brown. Antennae sordid beige and upper part of frontoclypeus above bases of antennae light ochre-brownish up to the sordid brown narrow transverse fascia apicad, as in male. Fore wing whitish. Ochre-brown patches (transversely striated in Fig. 327) sometimes bordered with brown (marked by oblique striation in Fig. 327). Infuscation in post-nodal part of wing dark grey-brown, veins bordered yellowish. Waxfield light ochre-yellow, orange at costal margin. Legs orangeous. Length M 3.0 and 3.1, F 2.7-3.2 mm. Comparison. Colouration like that of D. variegata (Ramakrishnan et Menon) but darker. Male genitalia resemble those of D. variegata and the main difference is in penis structure. In the new species penis stem is laterally compressed (Fig. 329), arcuate and bears narrow, pointed ventral appendage that reaches the level of gonopore (Fig. 328) while in D. variegata penis stem is tubular, almost straight and its ventral appendage is bluntly terminated and does not reach gonopore when seen from side.
