DESCRIPTIONS ENTOMOBRYIDAE S in el la curviseta Brook, 1882 Sinella curviseta: Uchida 1957: p. 43; Yosii 1956: p. 66-67, Pl. XXXVII, Fig. 220; PI. XL, Fig. 228; Yosii 1964: p. 32; Stach 1964: p. 17; Stach 1965: p. 356, Pl. XXXIII, Figs. 8-9; Christiansen and Bellinger 1980: p. 909, Fig. 745; Lee and Park 1984: p. 178; Lee and Park 1989: p. 276. Our collection agreed well with the description by Lee and Park (1984) with the South Korean materials. This is a new record for North Korea. Material examined: 1, Mt. Kumgang-san, Kangwon-do Prov., Collection no. 576, from moss sample on a large stone, extracted with Berlese-funnels, 25 Sept. 1979 Steinmann and Vásárhelyi: 6, Potae, Ryanggang-do Prov., Collection no. 1372, in cultivated area (arable lands and planted woods), 1 July 1988, Merkl and Szél. Distribution: Japan, China, North America, Costa Rica, India, Europe, Russia, North Vietnam, Java, Taiwan, Korea (South and North Koreas). Entomobrya minuta sp. n. (Fig. 1 A - H) Body length up to 0.9 mm. Ground colour pale yellow. Antennae diffusely pigmented along their whole length. Head with a black stripe between the two eye patches. The anterior of Th. II, Th. Ill, Abd. Ill and the posterior of Abd. IV with black patterns. Abd. VI black (Fig. IB). Legs, ventral tube and furca pale. Antennae relatively short, in general, less than half the length of body. Antennái segment ratio as 10: 15: 14: 22. Antennae IV with bilobed apical bulb (Fig. IE). Ant. Ill organ with two sensory rods (Fig. 1G). Eyes 8+8, black, G and H very small. Labral setae: 4, 5, 5, 4, prelabral ones feathered. Labral margin with 4 papillae (Fig. ID). Labial basis with setae as MREL1L2 (Fig. IF). Thoracic tergites with numerous clavate collar setae forming a mane, general chaetotaxy as in Fig. 1A. Unguis with one inner tooth, less developed than in other species. Unguiculus lanceolate and untoothed. A clavate tennent hair only weakly developed (Fig. 1H). Tenaculum quadridentate, with one seta. Furcal segments ratio, Manubrium: Dens+Mucro=10:12. Mucro bidentate and with a basal spine. Type data: Holotype 9, Mt. Kumgang-san, Kangwon-do Prov., Collection no. 702, from moss sample, 18 Sept. 1980, Forró and Topái. Paratypes: 4, same data as holotype. All 99specimens were collected. Additional materials examined: 1, Mt. Kumgang-san, Kangwon-do Prov., Collection no. 725, from soil traps baited with fish-heads, 20 Sept. 1980, Forró and Topái. Remarks: This species strongly resembles Entomobrya ßrisana Lee et Park, 1984 from Mt. Jiri-san of South Korea by sharing the body pattern of Th. III. Abd. Ill and the posterior of Abd. IV. However, it is different in the patterns on Abd. IV. and in the presence of a black stripe beween the two eye patches. It is also definitely separated from the cited species by the body chaetotaxy.
