fauna except the one made possible through a third country (Lee and Thibaud 1975). With the drastic political change in recent years in Eastern Europe, however, some Collembola specimens from the North were made available for study to the present authors by Dr. S. Mahunka of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. We examined herein first only the representatives of two families. The holotypes as well some paratypes are deposited in the Hungarian Natural History whereas the Department of Biology Education of Jeonbug National Univer­sity preserves some paratypes for later study.
