part of frontoclypeus, orange- ochre. Remaining part of pronotum dark grey. Lower part of face of male yellowish, sides whitish, tip of anteclypeus up to half of it, brownish. In female upper part of frontoclypeus brownish- ochre, anteclypeus, lora and lower part of frontoclypeus blackish-brown to brown, inner parts of genae often brownish, the outer parts sordid beige. In fully coloured specimens there is a transverse whitish streak on each side of the head at the border of face and vertex (sometimes expanded toward vertex along the margin of eye) and a similar streak on side of pronotum that contnues on the fore wing. The fore wing orange-ochre with infuscated costal and commissural margins, slightly smoked apical cells and distinct whitish streak. In the female 7th abdominal sternite characteristic is board pigmentation at the incised apex (Fig. 35, in slide). Length â 2.2-2.3, 9 2.1-2.3 mm. In male genitalia the penis stem is most characteristic: quite broad basally with its appendages arising near apex and diverging terminally (Figs 128, 134). Upper pygofer process similar to that of H. fiscoviridis (Ramakrishnan, et Menon) but slimmer (Figs 130, 136, 137) and apex of paramere not much produced above its subapical extension (Figs 131-133). Holotype male and paratypes 14 ââ, 68 9 9, India, Gudjarat, Gir Forest, Sasan, 31. I. 1981, S. Viraktamath; 1 â paratype, Karnataka, Devarayadurga, 8. VII. 1979, C.A. Viraktamath. (BMNH, SMTD, CAB). Helionidia renia sp. n. (Figs 138-147) Vertex well produced in the midline, orange-ochre to red-ochre centrally, palier at eyes. Pronotum, scutum and scutellum orange- ochre except centre and central part of the hind margin of pronotum that is dark grey with an olivaceous tint. Frontoclypeus of male of the same colour as vertex, paler downward, lower 2/3 of anteclypeus brown, lora and genae sordid yellowish with orange suffusion on inner parts of the latter and a brownish patch below sordid yellow antenna. In female lower half of frontoclypeus (especially at sides) and lora dark brown; anteclypeus black; genae (except the very lateral parts) sordid brown, often ochreous in upper parts; antennae brownish. There is a contrastic horizontal ivory semilunar patch on each side of head near eye at transition of vertex to face. Broad transverse streak of a similar colour on the side of pronotum continues as a whitish streak at the same level on fore wing occupying large part of r cell. Abdomen blackish, paler caudad, terminalia yellowish in male, fuscous in female. Fore wing orangeochre, bright at the costal margin, fuscous near the commissural margin, the colour confluent with greyish apical cells. In some teneral specimens grey-brownish infuscation predominates. Female 7th abdominal sternite (in slide) as in Fig. 139. Length 6 2.30-2.35, 9 2.15-2.25 mm. In the male genital apparatus the short, almost straight tapering upper pygofer appendage (Figs 141, 146, 147) as well as slim tubular penis stem ornamented with serration on its dorsal side (Figs 143, 145) are very characteristic.
