In Hungary formerly known from the Bükk N.P.: Miskolc, Garadna völgy [valley] only (Papp and Pecsenye 1988). Chymomyza procnemoides Wheeler, 1952 lc*: Budapest, Pest[szent]lőrinc, Péterhalmi erdő [forest], frissen vágott nyárfarönkökről [from freshly cut poplar trunks], 1990.V.22., leg. Papp L. "Chymomyza procnemoides !" det. D. Grimaldi 1990. - Formerly known from the Nearctic Region, principally from the southern United States (Grimaldi 1986); new to Hungary and for the Palearctic fauna. It must be introduced from the New World through import of pulp wood or with poplar saplings though we do not know any direct trade of this kind between Hungary and the U.S.. It seems probable that it has been introduced also into some other European countries but not collected there. Drosophila (Drosophila) tsigana Burla et Gloor, 1952 ló*: M19.08.90; ? A.N.P.: Jósvafő, tölgy kicsorgó nedvéről [on oozing sap of an oak tree] , 20.07.88. - Hitherto known from Portugal and France only (cf. Bächli and Rocha Pité 1984), new to Hungary and to the Carpathian Basin. Drosophila (Drosophila) iinimaculata Stróbl, 1893 1: A12.10.88, 1: M15.10.88, 33: B21.07.88, 24: B14.10.88, 1: V14.07.89, 7: B8.09.89, 39: Bl 1.10.89, 1: A2.08.89, 1 ó*: All.09.90, 28: B16.08.90, 39: B13.09.90, 141ex.: B27.09.90. - Known from the medial zone of Europe (from Great Britain to Romania). It seems locally abundant in Hungary and it was found in all the four valleys studied. Drosophila (Sophophora) helvetica Burla, 1948 2: M18.08.90, 1: A02.08.89. - Widespread from Great Britain to Japan, outside the Palearctic it has been found also in India.
