2 (1) Temple in dorsal view close behind eye rounded, i.e. head in dorsal view more or less transverse, usually (1.5-)1.6-1.7 times as broad as long (Figs 8, 10). Mesosoma either elongated or rather stout. Cu2 long, r2 usually distinctly longer than cuqul (Figs 9, 11). Tergites 1-2 always polished. 3 (4) Antenna short, about as long as head, mesosoma and tergites 1-2, with 20-22 antennomeres. Mesosoma as well as metasoma elongated, in lateral view about 1.8 times as long as high. Ovipositor sheath long, at least as long as body, usually somewhat longer (subgeneric features except length of antenna). Body black, legs usually black or blackish to dark brown. Basal half of wings brownish fumous, distally subfumous to subhyaline. 9: 2.4-3.5 mm, 3: 2-3 mm B. (O.) longulus Thomson, 1892 4 (3) Antenna long, about as long as body or somewhat longer, usually with 27-32 antennomeres. Mesosoma less elongated, in lateral view 1.4-1.6 times as long as high (subgeneric feature). Ovipositor sheath shorter than body. Head and mesosoma black, metasoma yellow, tergites medially with dark brown to black(ish) streak of variable breadth. 5 (6) Head in dorsal view (Fig. 14) less transverse, 1.5-1.55 times as broad as long, temple only somewhat, i.e. about one-fifth shorter than eye; in lateral view eye more rounded (f) and somewhat wider than temple (Fig. 16, see horizontal arrows). Hind femur somewhat thick, 3-3.3 times as long as broad (Fig. 15). Ovipositor sheath as long as metasoma and mesosoma together, less usually somewhat shorter, exceptionally as long as body. Colour of body similar to B.caudiger Nees, head and mesosoma black, legs also black, metasoma reddish yellow, tergites medially and usually with a wide black(ish) streak. 9: 2.8-4.4 mm, usually 3.5-4 mm B. (Gl.) pineti Thomson, 1892 6 (5) Head in dorsal (Fig. 10) transverse, 1.6-1.7 times as broad as long, temple about one-third to nearly half shorter than eye, in lateral view eye less rounded (f) and proportional width of eye to temple other (Figs 13, 17, see horizontal arrows). Hind femur less thick, 3.6-3.8 times as long as broad (Fig. 12). 7 (8) In lateral view eye slightly, i.e. 1.1-1.15 times, wider than temple (Fig. 13, see horizontal arrows), minute deviations possible. Ovipositor sheath as long as metasoma or hind tibia and tarsus. Tegula and legs black, at most hind tibia proximally brownish to yellowish. Yellow colour of metasoma lemonlike. 0*9: 3.5-4(4-4.3) mm B. (Gl.) caudiger Nees, 1834 8 (7) In lateral view eye 1.3-1.4 times as wide as temple (Fig. 17, see horizontal arrows). Ovipositor sheath as long as meta- and mesosoma together. Tegula and legs yellow, coxae black to blackish, trochanters blackish to brown. 9: 3.5-4 mm. (?= B. caudatus Ratzeburg, 1848) B. (Gl.) xanthogaster Nees, 1834 3. Localities and host of the authentic material of B.
