S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 53. (Budapest, 1992)

Materials examined: 5, Mt. Myohyang-san, Pyongan-bug-do Prov., Collection nos. 792, 830, 832 and 835, in moss and soil samples, extracted with Berlese-funnels, 14 and 19 July 1982, Forró and Ronkay. Distribution: Korea (South and North Koreas). Entomobrya striatella Börner, 1909 (Fig. 4B) Entomobrya striatella Börner, 1909: p. 117; Yosii 1942: p. 479, Fig. 4; Yosii 1956: p. 72; Yosii and Lee 1963: p. 5; Lee and Park 1984: p. 179. This species almost agrees with the description by Yosii and Lee (1963). but the following notes are to be added: labial margin with four conical papillae, each armed at the tip with a minute, sharply pointed process. Setal formulae of the base of labium M1M2REL1L2, seta M duplicated. Thoracic tergites with numerous clavate collar setae forming a mane, general chaetotaxy as in Fig. 4B. Anterior face of ventral tube with 3+3 macrosetae, external two in oblique positions as to median furrow. This is a new record for North Korea. Materials examined: 2, Mt. Kumgang-san, Kangwon-do Prov., Collection nos. 724725, from soil traps baited with beer and fish-heads, 20 Sept. 1980, Forró and Topái; 4, Mt. Daesung-san, Pyongyang City, Collection no. 752, in soil sample taken from a Pinus forest neer Ingo-mot pond extracted with Berlese-funnels, 8 July 1982, Forró and Ronkay; 1, Mt. Myohyang-san, Pyongan-bug-do Prov., Collection no. 791, in sifted Utter taken from a mixed forest extracted with Moczarsky-Winkler apparatus, 14 July 1982, Forró and Ronkay. Remarks: As compared to individuals reported from South Korea (Yosii and Lee 1963, Lee and Park 1984), the tip of the labral papiUae has a pointed process whereas those of South Korean specimens are rounded. Distribution: Japan, Korea (South and North Koreas). Homidia speciosa Szeptycki, 1973 (Fig. 4C, D) Homidia speciosa Szeptycki, 1973: p. 34, Figs. 3C, 4C, PI. III. A-H. The peculiar pattern permits easy recognition of the present species. But our collections differ from those described by Szeptycki (1973) in the chaetotaxy of the first abdominal segment (FIG. 4C). Materials examined: 1, Chann-Pay plateau, Mudo-bong (alt. 2100-2200 m), Mt Pektusan, Ryang-gang-do Prov., Collection no. 291, in moss and lichen samples from the upper level of Larix-Betula forest extra ted with Berlese apparatus, 25 July 1975, Papp and Vojnits; 1, Mt. Za-mo san, Bek-sung-li (60 km NE from Pyongyang), Pyong-Sung City, Pyongan-nam-do Prov., Collection no. 308, from litter sample extracted with Berlese apparatus, 1 Aug. 1975, Papp and Vojnits; 1, Mt. Myohyang-san, Pyongan-bug-do Prov., CoUection no. 836, in moss sample from a surface of forest soil extracted with Berlese-funnels, 19 July 1982, Forró and Ronkay. Distribution: Korea (North Korea).
