Contribution to the knowledge of the Orthopteran fauna of the Ukrainian Carpathians (Orthoptera) By S. Storozhenko and A. Gorochov (Received July 1, 1991) Contribution to the knowledge of tlie Orthopteran faune of the Ukrainian Carpathians (Orthoptera) . - A list of 42 species of Orthoptera are given: two of them are new to Ukrainian Carpathians and one is new to USSR This paper is based on field work conducted by the authors during expedition in July and August 1988 to the Ukrainian Transcarpathians. From seventy-seven species of Orthoptera mentioned from the Ukrainian Carpathians by Likovitch (1965; 1984) and Harz (1969; 1975) we found fourty-two: two of them (Phaneroptera nana and Modicogryllus bordigalensis) are new to the Transcarpathians and one (Leptophyes discoidalis) is new to USSR All the materialis deposited in collections of the Zoological Institute of Biology and Pedology (Vladivostok). Phaneroptera nana nana Fieber, 1853 - Locality: Chernaya Gora on Tisa River between Vinogradov and Korolovo, 3-4. Aug. 1988, 2 d, 1 2- Remarks: This species is new to the Transcarpathians. - Habitat: Found on bushes on the edges of lowland forest. Barbitistes eonstrictus Brunner-Wattenwyl, 1878 - Locality: 10 km S Rakhov, 27. Jul. 1988, 1 d. - Habitat: Collected on bush on edge of forest at an elevation of about 400 m. Isophya brevipennis Brunner-Wattenwyl, 1878 - Localities: 10 km S Rakhov, 27. Jul. 1988, 1 d; 10 km NE Chust, 1-2. Aug. 1988, 3 4-.- Habitat: On bushes and grass on the edges of forest, glades and meadows. Poeci limon schmidti (Fieber, 1853) - Locality: Malaya Ugolka, 40 km N Tyatchev, 29-30. Jul 1988, 3 d, 2 2 - Habitat: Found on grass and bushes on glades and edges of forest. Leptophyes albovittata (Kollar, 1833) - Locality: Chcrnaya Gora on Tisa River between Vinogradov and Korolovo, 3-4.
