Pronotum transverse, with one and half times broader than long, broadest much before the middle, almost straight sinuated towards the base. Lateral margins strongly widen out backwards, hind angles a little bit protruding and rounded. Surface convex, basal depressions rounded and deep, disk finely, the marginal areas strongly wrinkled. Elytra broad oval, broadest behind middle, strongly convex. Disk smooth with slight longitudinal and transverse scratchings, marginal areas and apical part wrinkled. The longitudinal scratchings in some places regulated in lines, the external and apical part with some fine striae. Upper surface of head dark mat, olive-green, at the tempus with slight violet lustre. The disk of pronotum dark mat, olive-green, at the lateral margins and basal depressions brighter with slight violet lustre. Elytra subpolished (d), respectively mat (Ç) olive-green coloured. Sometimes the disk of pronotum and elytra with slight golden lustre. Lower surface of body, palps, antenna and legs black, prosternum and elytral epipleura with slight metallic lustre. Aedeagus slender, with an end piece broad and rounded at apex. Endophallus with a large, oblong pigmented spot (Fig. 3). Distribution: Central Caucasus, Egrisskiy mountain range, in alpine meadows. Holotype: o\ Grusia, Mingrelia, Lebarde, Egrisskiy khrebet, 1800-2000 m., 23-26. VII. 1990, leg. I. Retezár. Paratypes: 35 <3d, 32 92 Grusia, Mingrelia, Lebarde, Egrisskiy khrebet, 1800-2000 m., 23-26. VII. 1990. leg. K. Gaskó and I. Retezár. Holotype and some paratype, are deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, other paratypes are deposited is the author's Collection.
