Schmiedeknecht, himself as B. thalassinus, i.e. it is an authentic specimen upon which I base my synonymization . The spe­cies is widely distributed in the Palaearctic Region, however, nowhere frequent In northern Africa reported from Morocco and Algeria so far. New to the fauna of Tunisia.
