(Nearctic Region) and up to now no record was published from other region, i.e. this is its first record outside North America (Shenefelt 1975). New to the fauna of Tunisia (as well as to the Palaearctic Region). - My Tunisian single female Through Mr. T. Huddleston's kindness (London) I had the opportunity to examine the "Type" of Rogas rufoater Wollaston (housed in the British Museum, Natural History), which proved to be conspecific with Ichneumon ductor Thunberg: Ichneumon ductor Thunberg, 1822: Mém. Acad. Sei. Petersburg 8: 269 Í. Rogas rufoater Wollaston, 1858: Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (3) 1: 24 syn. n. The name var. atripes A. Costa, 1884 is a junior synonym of var. rufoater (Wollaston 1858).
