BothridTäl squama situated above the bothridium. Posterior median apodeme present. All prodorsal setae in normal paraxial position. Notogaster with terminal sinus. Anogenital and ano-adanal plates completely fused with each other, anogenital cleft absent. One interlocking triangle present. Palp 3-segmented,with the setal formula: 2-2-8+1. Legs mono-,(?)bi- or tridactylous, with normal chaetotaxy. Solenidium of tarsus II without coupled setae, genu IV without a solenidium. Sumatrotritia Mahunka, 1989 Sumatrotritia Mahunka, 1989: 676. Type species: Sumatrotritia inusitata Mahunka, 1989. Type deposited:MHNG. Diagnosis: Aspis low, with a median crista and a lateral carina, but without sinus line. Posterior median apodeme also present, laterocentral apodeme very short. Bothridial squama situated above the trichobothrium. Prodorsal setae originating in normal position. Notogaster with terminal fissure. Palp 3segmented, with the setal formula: 2-1-8+1. Anogenital plates fused, with two interlocking triangles. No seta before suture kag . All legs monodactylous, with special chaetotaxy: Leg I: 1-2-3+2-5+1-15+3-1; leg IV: 1-1-1-2+1-10-1. Solenidia of tarsus II without, tibia IV with coupled seta. Genu IV without solenidium. §iSÎSê2£âEï_£Îî52t2Èaxy^ A: 4, N:14, Ly:5, G:4, Ag:2, An: 3, Ad: 4. Sabahtritiidae Mahunka 1987: 783 .*** Type genus: Synichotritia Walker, 1965 2iâ2G2ËiËL Notogaster boat-shaped, wide, with on open V-shaped ventral split. Anogenital plates completely fused, neither interlocking triangle nor internal transversal apodeme. Anogenital cleft absent. Genital setae in paraxial position, grouped on the anterior part of the anogenital plates. Remarks^ This family is divided into two subfamilies. The nominate one is distinguishecHfrom the Sabahtritiinae*** by the following character: deep holI am not sure whether this transversal split is identical with the similar formation of the other genera of this superfamily. It might be only the normal borders of the genito-aggenital and ano-adanal plates. In the original diagnosis mentioned only the monodactylous legs . originally it was established as a separate family, but after a thorough comparative study of the types, its status could not be held. Therefore, the family should be degraded to subfamily Sabahtritiinae stat.n.
